Andrew Ashton has dedicated his career to the accountancy profession since 1973, building decades of experience across auditing, insolvency, and small business advisory. Early in his career he trained with prominent chartered accounting firms, gaining valuable insight into audits and the internal control procedures of major organisations.
He later established and led an insolvency and bankruptcy division, managing numerous liquidated and bankrupt estates, and qualifying as a registered liquidator in his own right. Over time, Andrew transitioned his focus to supporting small business clients — many of whom remain with him to this day, a testament to his commitment and trusted advice.
In 1987, Andrew founded his own practice, with a philosophy centred on client loyalty and practical solutions. He continues to provide specialist advice to long-standing clients and values relationships built on trust, integrity, and professional care.
Andrew is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants and a certified adviser for the online accounting software, Xero.
Rosh Ashton is a registered tax agent and member of the Institute of Public Accountants with over 15 years’ experience in public practice. Before founding Mosman Accountants, she built her career in the banking industry and across a range of commercial and not-for-profit organisations, giving her a strong foundation in both financial management and the realities of running a business.
Her experience means she understands first-hand the challenges faced by small business owners and investors, and she brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to every client relationship.
Rosh is also a certified Xero adviser and works extensively with Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs), supporting clients with financial statements, annual SMSF returns, and liaising directly with auditors to keep compliance seamless.
At the heart of her work, Rosh combines technical expertise with clear communication, making complex tax and accounting matters straightforward for her clients.
